DEDHAM, MA – August 7, 2006 – Not since Doug Mirabelli’s return to Fenway has there been an arrival of this magnitude. Two lucky Red Sox baseball fans will be whisked away in a chauffeured limousine ride, be outfitted in baseball attire, and receive two hard-to-come-by tickets to the game, but hopefully no police escort. The action will take place Tuesday, August 15th during NESN HD GameNight at Showcase Cinemas Revere when the Red Sox take on the Tigers. Patrons at the Showcase Cinemas Revere can enter to win this special GameNight Getaway prize package which includes roundtrip transportation, a gift certificate to Game On! and two tickets to the August 15th Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

NESN HD GameNight provides Red Sox fans in 10 cities across New England an opportunity to enjoy the live game at the theatre, in digitally projected widescreen high-definition, with digital stereo sound and comfortable theatre seating. Fans can purchase food and beverage “ballpark style” from vendors walking the aisles offering traditional ballpark fare such as hot dogs, pizza, popcorn and nachos. In addition, a selection of beer and wine service are available at select theatres. The program was developed by National Amusements, the Red Sox, and NESN.

Here’s how baseball fans can enter to win the GameNight Getaway special prize package. On Tuesday night, August 15th patrons at Showcase Cinemas Revere can pitch their names into the GameNight Getaway entry box from 5:30pm to 6:30pm outside of the GameNight auditorium. At 6:45 pm, as faithful Red Sox fans get settled into the comfortable rocking recliner seats to watch the Red Sox take on the Tigers on the big screen in high definition, the name of one lucky fan will be drawn randomly from the entry box and, along with their guest, will begin their journey to Fenway and a night they will long remember. (Please note: no purchase is necessary to enter the GameNight Getaway.)
