State-of-the-art Cinema de Lux to feature Chatters Bar & Grill, Director’s Halls, free WiFi access, and luxury atmosphere
[Dedham, MA]—August 23, 2006-- National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating more than 1,500 screens in the U.S., U.K., Latin America and Russia, will unveil its new Cinema de Lux 14: The Greene officially on August 25, 2006 in Beavercreek, Ohio. The Cinema de Lux concept takes movie going to a whole new level and is the high-end entertainment concept that National Amusements has successfully rolled out in select markets across the country. This is the first Cinema de Lux to open in the Dayton area and brings the total to four Cinema de Lux theatres in Ohio. Ohio theaters include: Franklin Park 16: Cinema de Lux in Toledo, Maumee 18: Cinema de Lux in Maumee, and Springdale 18: Cinema de Lux in Springdale.

Beginning on Friday, August 25, 2006 movie-goers will be able to enjoy the latest of first run films in this unique theatre environment. The experience begins with 3,280 seats and 14 state-of-the-art auditoriums, all stadium style with Dolby® Digital Surround EX sound. Two of these auditoriums will be known as “Director’s Halls” treating patrons to the ultimate in movie going with Ultra Leather rocking recliners, reserved seating for all performances, live pre-show intros, a themed mural of
Brandywine Falls in Ohio, escorted seating service and order at your seat concessions. Seven of the fourteen screens will be equipped with the newest state-of-the-art digital 2K projection systems.
Cinema de Lux 14: The Greene will also be the first Cinema de Lux with a Director’s Hall Lounge, an area adjacent to the Director’s Halls filled with comfortable, overstuffed furniture in which Director’s Halls patrons can relax before or after the movie.
In addition to the Director’s Halls, the lush atmosphere at Cinema de Lux will distinguish itself to patrons from the moment they enter the theatre. Patrons will be greeted by the sounds of the baby grand piano on display in the lobby. Guests are free to relax in a lounge area outfitted with comfortable, home-style furniture with the latest issues of newspapers and magazines. Or they may take advantage of free WiFi access in Chatters’ coffee bar and table seating areas. Patrons may also enjoy popping into the theatre between errands; to enjoy a cup of coffee or snack and relax in the comfortable lounge area, or challenge their gaming skills in the game room. The lobby will also feature Guest Services, a concierge style service desk assisting patrons with needs such as calling a taxi or purchasing tickets to Director’s Halls.

The theatre will also feature several of National Amusements specially designed programs: Bargain Tuesdays which features a $5.00 price for all seats, all shows, all day every Tuesday for a limited time; and Senior Wednesdays which features a $3.50 price for all seats for seniors 60 & up, including Directors Halls .

Cinema de Lux 14: The Greene will offer patrons a wide variety of concessions from classic movie fare such as popcorn and soft drinks to well-known brands such as Sbarro® Pizza, NATHAN’s Famous® and Pretzel Depot. The theatre will also offer Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and a coffee bar service area featuring Starbucks coffee and other specialty coffee beverages.
Another experience that sets Cinema de Lux apart is Chatters Bar & Grill, a full-service restaurant featuring American fare in a relaxed, sophisticated setting. Menu items at Chatters include appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pizza and a wide variety of other quick dining options. Chatters also features a full service bar with beer, wine and our innovative signature specialty drinks. Patrons will be able to enjoy dinner and/or drinks before or after the movie, or just stop by to meet friends for lunch/dinner or an afternoon snack.
