NATIONAL AMUSEMENTS UNVEILS LUXURY THEATER IN BRAZIL

Luxury cinema Norte Shopping is anchor to one of Rio de Janiero’s largest malls

[Dedham, MA]—March 26, 2007-- National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating more than 1,500 screens in the U.S., U.K., Latin America and Russia, unveiled its new theater, UCI Kinoplex Norte Shopping in Rio de Janiero, Brazil on March 9, 2007. In partnership with The Severiano Ribeiro Group, the largest Brazilian national capital corporation operating in the movie industry, this is the first new theater to open under the UCI banner since National Amusements became direct operators of UCI Brazil. UCI Kinoplex Norte Shopping brings to 11 the total number of theaters under National Amusements operation in Brazil.

In 2005, National Amusements became the operators of UCI Brazil which has ten theatre complexes, three of which are in partnerships. The theatres are located in Rio de Janeiro, São Paolo, Ribeirio Preto, Curitiba, Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza. The theaters include the New York City Center Mall in Barra da Tijuca, which is the largest megaplex in Latin America with 19 theaters on three levels and 4,500 seats. New York City Center theater is the number-one theater in Brazil recording an unprecedented 1.6 million spectators in 2005.

The new Norte Shopping luxury theatre is located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the fastest-growing area in the city. It is an anchor to Norte Shopping, the first and largest mall in the region, and ranks among the top largest malls in Rio. The mall was designed as an American “Lifestyle Center,” a new concept in the Brazilian market.

“The Brazilian people’s love of movie-going and the world of entertainment has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to us all,” said Shari Redstone, president of National Amusements. “Our goal is to make this theater an important part of their community and bring programming and experiences that will make us their community entertainment destination.”

The upscale theater has a total of approximately 2, 400 seats and features 10 auditoriums with stadium style seating, with specially designed “Love Seats” available in the last two rows of the theater. Patrons will also be able to enjoy the best technology available in the movie industry. This is the first theatre in

Rio to feature 3-D just in time for the release of Disney’s animated movie MEET THE ROBINSONS on April 6, 2007. High quality sound is provided b Dolby® Digital Surround EX.
