Music Legends Part of New Showcase LIVE! Entertainment Initiative
Dedham, Mass.—June 20, 2007—National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating approximately 1,500 screens in the United States, United Kingdom, Latin America and Russia, today announced a Showcase LIVE! special music event starring legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, founding and naming member Herb Reed and The Platters with special guest Carol O’Shaughnessy. The event will be held at Showcase Cinemas Revere located on Route One and 60 in Revere, Mass. on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
This world premiere music exclusive will serve as a pilot launch for a possible nationwide tour throughout the popular movie chain. National Amusements is increasingly utilizing its state-of-the-art stadium seating theatres to introduce live performance as another element of entertainment making the theatres a true one-stop destination.
Herb Reed and The Platters have designed a show specifically tailored for the motion picture chain packed with their immortal hits such as Only You (and you Alone), The Great Pretender, My Prayer, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and more.

National Amusements’ beautiful, high tech stadium style theaters are a perfect venue for live entertainment,” said Reed, founder and only original member of The Platters alive and still touring the world today. “The possibilities are endless.”
The critically acclaimed Ms. Carol O’Shaughnessy, under the musical direction of Tom LaMark, delights audiences worldwide with her vocal diversity and sidesplitting humor. She is slated to open the 90-minute show.

Showcase LIVE!, a new entertainment brand within the National Amusements family, is enhancing the movie-going experience by offering consumers world-class family entertainment within traditional movie houses in effect turning these theatres into community entertainment destinations. The worldwide movie chain is currently converting the Revere Theatre into a Cinema de Lux, a National Amusements signature, high-end total entertainment concept that is currently being rolled out across the United States.
