DEDHAM, Mass., --December 13, 2007-- National Amusements, Inc., a world leader in the motion picture exhibition industry operating more than 1,500 screens in the U.S., U.K., Latin America and Russia, unveils its vibrant new theatre Showcase Cinemas Fallen Timbers on Friday, December 14, 2007, located at the Shops At Fallen Timbers in Maumee, Ohio.
Movie-goers will be able to view the latest of first run films from the comfort of the custom-designed, deep-cushioned, rocking recliner seats arranged in stadium style to provide the ultimate viewing experience. The theatre features 14 auditoriums, seating approximately 2800, all with wall-to-wall screens and Dolby® Digital Surround EX sound.
Patrons can enjoy a wide variety of concessions from classic movie fare such as popcorn and soft drinks to well-known brands such as NATHANS Famous®, Pretzel Depot, and Famous Famiglia Pizza. The theatre will also offer Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Starbuck’s coffee.
Additionally, National Amusements will be introducing over the next few months unique programming that has been well received in its other locations:
•Senior Wednesdays which offers a $3.50 price for all seats for seniors 60 & up;
• Kidtoons Films, a unique family oriented program that features a G-rated film every Saturday and Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for $3.50. The program includes a monthly review written by children’s media professional Dr. Donna Mitroff, providing parents with information about the film, content and features, and discussion guidelines for conversation with children after they view the film;
•Popcorn Club, a fun club for kids and families offering prizes, exclusive events, and special offers. The first-of-its-kind for the exhibition industry, The Popcorn Club was designed for children 11 years old and younger, and costs only $10.00 per child annually to join;
•Reel Kool Parties, a special birthday celebration managed from beginning to end providing party guests with invitations, refreshments, private party area, reserved seating in the auditorium, and a special souvenir for the birthday child.
•Free WiFi in the café seating area.
Films scheduled for opening day, December 14, 2007, include new releases I Am Legend, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Perfect Holiday as well as first run films including Golden Compass, Enchanted, August Rush, This Christmas, Bee Movie, Fred Claus, and American Gangster.
